Do You Have An Investment Strategy?

Investing is kind of like playing a game where you don’t know who won until the game ends and a winner is declared - that is to say, there is a degree of risk involved and the outcome is not always knowable ahead of time. Much like in a game, having a strategy for your investing will help you to be victorious at this endeavor.

An investment strategy is a plan for making your money grow in specified time frame by putting it to work for you in investments which will make you a profit over the long run. There are a lot of different types of investments out there and each comes with a lot of choices. Think of it as a grocery store - while food is indeed what they sell, there are vegetables, there are canned goods, beverages and so on. The stock market is one example which is like that hypothetical grocery store - within it are many different companies you could invest in.

Kickboxing started in Europe and America as an option to traditional martial arts and is often allied with mixed martial arts. Although not technically considered one of the martial arts, many of the participants who enter the game have skills in martial arts and were often among the best participants in their chosen activity. Many professional boxers also get into the sport of martial arts, after a trainer has shown them how to kick.

The object of a kickboxing meet is to out punch and out kick an opponent to the point where they cannot continue the fight or until the end of the game when the judges will pick the winning player of the match. Unlike a kickboxing tournament, the athletess in a kickboxing match will generally wear some protective gear, such as mouth guards, boxing gloves, and a groin shield. This is to make sure that the athletes in the match do not have lasting damage from their bout in the ring.

Understanding Chakra

A chakra is the human bodys energy axis that receives, interacts with and conveys life force between an individual and his/her environment. Its direct English translation means a spinning wheel. Furthermore, ancient Hindu writings reveal that of the bodys 88,000 chakra points, there are seven which are considered of primary importance.

Located along the spine, the seven key chakras are the root, navel, solar plexus, heart, throat, brow, and crown. These energy axes (chakra) in our body continuously receive and give out energies from their interaction with our environment such as other people, plants, trees, animals and other elements. Brain imaging studies have proven that long term alcohol abuse can physically shrink the parts of the brain that control learning and memory. This shrinkage is greatest in the cortex of the frontal lobe which is the center of higher intellectual functions and naturally this shrinkage will grow with age and continued alcohol use. The first noticeable sign of damage from alcohol is short-term memory loss.

Progressive brain shrinkage was shown in a study that conducted periodic imaging in alcoholics over a five year period. The amount of brain shrinkage was directly related to the amount of alcohol consumed, but there was no question that the shrinkage far exceeded anything in the normal range.
