How many times have you heard people say that they can’t stop eating cookies, or bread, or pasta, or candy? They may even laugh and say they are addicted to chocolate, as they pop the 10th truffle in their mouth. Well it’s time we faced the facts. We are addicted to many of the foods we eat. And when you really look at it, it’s not so very funny. You might even say, food addiction is a debilitating phenomenon.

Many people think that hypnosis is just non-scientific hocus-pocus that isn’t worth the investment and won’t be of any real use. However, many rigorous clinical trials have been done over the last decade, with double blind controls, and these prove hypnosis to be a valid and valuable part of the most current levels of medical practice. Don’t see hypnosis skeptically as superstition or quackery, but instead recognize it as the effective medical technique it really is.
An example of the effectiveness of hypnosis is found in studies using it to help smokers who want to quit. In one 42 day trial, a group of smokers were divided into thirds at random. One control third received no treatment. The remainders were either treated by a sham hypnotherapist or a real one. At the end of the study the results were convincing. The group real hypnosis had a 70% quit rate. A placebo effect was ruled out since fake therapy was 26% successful and no therapy was a mere 14%.

A perfect and easy weight loss system is really hard to come by. However, there are a number of proven systems that help shed pounds healthily. It is harmful to be overweight or obese because it lowers self-esteem, increases health risks and reduces a person’s ability to perform physical activities.
You only have to look online to see the number of easy weight loss systems available but what most people forget to mention is how important the individual losing the weight is! Before you decide on how you intend to lose weight you need to decide if it is for your benefit; i.e. to remain healthy, or is it because someone else wants you to lose weight.

Learning how to develop and bring out inner confidence in all spheres of life is a gradual and painstaking process. Regardless of where you stand now, you need to be steadfast and open to new ideas and advice as you read “Building Self Confidence for Dummies”.
Realistically, none of us ever actually get to the end of the road because there is always still more work that can be done. In certain life situations, we may need to learn again how to build our self-esteem and make it stronger when it lags. Mental coaches are necessary, even in the form of personal coaching we do ourselves.

A low sense of self-esteem can damage you in more ways than one. Did you know that it can lead to numerous health problems, both physical and emotional? Here are seven serious health issues that can result from not having a sound sense of self-worth.
1. Anxiety: If you have a feeling of low self-worth, you’ll also be lacking in confidence. In new or uncomfortable situations, this can easily cause you to experience an anxiety attack.

A fear of a particular event or situation can result in a phobia. Fear can be so intense that one suffers anxiety because of it. Anxiety is that feeling of dread and/or panic that is felt that causes them to suffer from different physical discomforts including nausea, difficulty breathing, tremblling and a variety of other sensations. People suffering from any kind of anxiety phobia disorders tend to feel an strong feeling of doom that prevents them from further facing their fear.
Fear is a normal human thing. When the body feels fear it gives a fight or flight response by releasing hormones and cause the blood and heart pressure to rise, blood to be rerouted from the stomach and internal organs to the limbs, increase of respirations and senses are heightened.
