Everyone’s talking about this thing called ‘altering consciousness.’ But what does it all mean? Some say it means improving our IQ or memory or sleep patterns. Others think it is becoming psychic, meditating and levitating, or clairvoyance. Still others say it’s all about being able to roll with the punches- and be calm in the face of any storm. Perhaps it is all of this. I’m inclined to think that altering consciousness is shifting, at our core, our entire way of thinking and being in the world in order to live a better life.
I know this sounds very new-age and far-out. That’s because it is.

Practicing meditation can be a great tool in the battle to achieve a more restful night’s sleep. You CAN achieve a deeper and more refreshing sleep that will leave you ready to tackle your new day. Meditation is often very helpful for those who have trouble falling to sleep in the first place. It’s a way for them to deeply relax their muscles and also their minds, thus allowing sleep to come more quickly to them.
A lot of people, for a variety of reasons, may try taking numerous different pills. However, you should know that with sleeping pills, you run the risk of interrupted sleep and daytime drowsiness. If you decide to use meditation instead of medication, it takes practice to learn the techniques that work for your body in particular, so be patient.

But here is something else for you to consider: why not use your walking exercise as a time for meditation?. Most people take up walking because it’s a great form of exercise, it is easy on the joints and it isn’t complicated to learn.
You don’t need any special equipment. Just start walking and you are instantly on your way to better health. When you add meditation to your walking, you will find the experience invaluable.

At its core, crystal healing is a form of mysticism, witchcraft, and occult practices.
