The term given to the layer of fat that accumulates over the muscles on our sides (the abdominal external obliques) is Love Handles. This particular area of our physiques contains many fat cells and so ideally attracts those excess calories that we fail to burn on any given day. Any exercise movement that targets the reduction or elimination of this fat could theoretically be called a Love Handles Exercise.

If anyone is serious about losing their Love Handles, their primary Objective must be to burn the accumulated fat through an increase in Activity. That activity does not have to be exercises that focus on the Obliques, although many folks would have you believe that you do.

Nobody likes to count calories. I know I don’t. And no one knows At the end of the day if the calories they consumed exceeded the Amount of calories they spent or if there were excessive calories stored as fat for later use. It is only over time that we can see the results of which way the battle is leaning. But what if, starting today, you made the decision to eat just a few bites less at each meal? Over time these things add up.

Many people think that by doing side bends or other exercises that focus on the obliques will eliminate love handles. This is not true. Of course this will firm and tone the obliques, and produce some positive results, but the fat is the primary culprit and must be burned off. That’s why aerobics and other cardio routines are so often recommended.

If you’re just getting started it is imperative that you understand Just how important it is to be consistent with your routine. If you Decide to workout three days a week, than workout three days a week And don’t let it slip. If something comes up that absolutely requires you to miss, perhaps you can replace that workout somewhere else in your schedule. And if that is not possible, don’t beat yourself up, but I want to emphatically stress the importance of consistency.

How to lose body fat is not a complicated problem. When we eat more calories than our bodies burn, those calories are stored in our fat cells for later use. And those places around our middle have more than their fair share of them.

Although excessive body fat can be a tough problem to tackle, keep in mind it’s not impossible. People do it everyday. Why not you? Help is all around you, but you have to make the decision yourself. No one can make it for you. When there’s a will there’s a way.

Have you ever considered joining a gym in your area? Perhaps you could take an aerobics class or just create a habit of putting on your walking shoes and head out the front door. Any and all activity does burn calories, but make sure you get your heart rate up.

What are your favorite fruits and vegetables? Try to eat some Throughout the day and increase your water consumption. This Will help the body to metabolize the stored fat in the form of energy And will also help to reduce cravings.

A little control on your diet intake is a must. What you eat played a very important role in creating your Love Handles and will also play a role in losing them. Try not to eat too many carbohydrates, such as white pasta and white bread. Also try to increase your protein.

Although it may seem as if those Love Handles appeared almost overnight, they did not. And I can assure you that they will not disappear overnight either. Don’t get discouraged. You can do this. You’ve had other successes in your life and the ones that are the most precious to you are probably the ones that were the most difficult to accomplish. This is no different.
