May you be enlightened

Talking about the motivation and the determination to shed off some weight, many people will find that they lack them. No matter how hard they try, they just can’t bring themselves to go out and do some exercise. So, how can you ignite the fire in you again and get yourself to lose some of your weight?
First step to having motivation to lose weight is to set targeted goals. Many people set goals that are not specific. They say something like “I’m trying to shed off some weight.” Instantly, I know that they are probably struggling in their bid to lose weight.
Because they are “trying to lose SOME weight”. Tell me, what is some weight? Some weight is a pound, some weight is an ounce, some weight is 100 pounds! Some weight is an indefinable quantity that you are not really sure about.
While doing your weight loss routines, you find yourself little or no motivation to do so. This happens because you have no idea where you are going to end up in your weight loss programs. Subconsciously, you only wanted to lose SOME weight. So, even shedding 1 pound of your weight, you have already attained your goal of losing some weight.
Of course, losing 1 pound is not what you want consciously. However, subconsciously you already have achieved your goal of losing some weight. Having achieved your goal, you will automatically lose your motivation to lose more weight and go back to your eating and no exercise lifestyle again.
When you are dieting it is absolutely vital that you know exactly how much weight you need to lose. This will provide you with weight loss motivation and the keys to success. If you know exactly how much you are getting rid of then
- You have a purpose and know what you want to achieve
- You know when you have achieved what you want
- There will be no conflict between your conscious and subconscious mind
- You remain determined and motivated throughout your path to lose weight
Now, this may sound to you like it is very simplistic and silly and that “it’s far too childish to work” (as a client said to me). But … and let me just say that again in capital letters, BUT it works … why does it work Jason? You may ask … It works because your sub-conscious mind is like a child! It is very simple, very honest and without guile. So play this childish game with yourself, put your weight loss goals own on paper and find your weight loss motivation.
